The Regional Director of Advocacy - Europe is responsible for directing all advocacy-related matters in the European region, but primarily those of the European institutions (European Parliament, Commission and the Council).
This is a full time position.
The Director of Advocacy is responsible for coordinating the international advocacy efforts of the World Youth Alliance across its six regional offices. The Director of Advocacy also has the unique opportunity to represent WYA at the United Nations on behalf of our members around the world, interacting with delegates and drafting language to support our mission. As the UN prepares to develop the Sustainable Development Goals and to tackle issues related to health, education, poverty, employment, youth, and family, it is a critical time for WYA to influence language and policy. The Director of Advocacy shapes the language and policy promoted by WYA at the UN and around the world and works closely with the Research and Policy Specialist. The Director of Advocacy is a full-time position in the WYA Foundation.
Please submit a resume, cover letter, legal (analytical) writing sample (at least 5 pages), and contact information for three references to email@example.com. Please indicate “WYA Director of Advocacy position” in the subject line. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
