Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce our new Regional Director for Africa, Winnie Beauttah. Welcome to the team Winnie!

We celebrated World Habitat Day on 3 October and we have extended the deadline for our Viviamo! habitat project to November 1st. Keep sending in your submissions - they are great!

We are still requesting for pictures of members to be displayed in our new house in New York! See details below.

Viviamo!
We look forward to receiving your creative proposals for our Viviamo! habitat project. We are looking for projects that best help to improve one's habitat and that best present the beauty in living. WYA on canvas
We are still searching for an artist under the age of thirty to depict the World Youth Alliance on canvas (in a mural painting) for the grand entry wall in our new headquarters in New York. The dimensions of the wall are, height x width, respectively: 15 feet x 10 feet or 4.5 meters x 3 meters. Please send a sample of your work or a sketch of your ideas along with a C.V.* The deadline is January 1st, 2006.

The faces of the World Youth Alliance
Let’s show our best face! We are creating a giant picture collage of the faces of our members to post on a wall in our new house. Please send us a photograph of yourself, either in digital jpg format or a passport-size photograph through the mail.* We have extended the deadline to December 1st, 2005.

Survival of the Fittest?
We invite Central European young leaders to participate in a one-afternoon Conference on Eugenics in Vienna on October 17th, hosted by World Youth Alliance- Europe. Together with politicians, historians and experts on genetics and bioethics, they will discuss the history of eugenics, the re-emergence of social tendencies towards “genetic cleansing” and the threat these tendencies pose to the dignity of the human person. Visit our website for more details. The deadline for registration is October 14th, 2006.

The New House
The World Youth Alliance’s New House at East 71st Street in New York City is getting closer to completion each day! We are in the final months of renovations and hope to move in by the New Year.
