WYA Africa in Conjunction with Makerere University Uganda organise Public Lecture

We would like to welcome all World Youth Alliance members, students and lecturers at Makerere University  and Uganda in general to a Public Lecture themed 'Re-thinking Africa’s Sustainable Development Agenda'


Speakers:

Prof. Kirumira is a graduate of Makerere University, Exeter University (U.K.) and the University of Copenhagen in collaboration with Harvard University. He is specialized in Population and Health and has done research in HIV/AIDS, familiar relationships, health seeking behavior, poverty and rural development studies. He is also a visiting senior researcher to a number of European and African universities. Prof. Kirumira is currently the Principal of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Makerere University.



 

Dr. Josephine Ahikire has undertaken consultancies and has been featured in different publications. She has lectured for twelve years at the Department of Women and Gender Studies, Makerere University in the field of feminist theory gender and politics, livelihood and cultural studies and has fifteen years of research experience in gender and politics and related fields. She is an active member of the Uganda Women’s Movement.
