WORLD YOUTH ALLIANCE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
The World Youth Alliance Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble of young musicians (ages 10-17) from Manhattan's most prestigious music programs including The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music. The aim of the ensemble is to inspire international cooperation by reflecting the ideals of the World Youth Alliance.
The World Youth Alliance Chamber Orchestra has performed domestically at venues such as the United Nations and Fairfield University, and internationally at World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain during summer 2011.
UPCOMING PERFORMANCES
On Friday, January 13th, the ensemble will perform prior to Mary Ann Glendon's keynote address at the New York Encounter.
On Friday, January 27th, the ensemble will perform at the Manhattan International Film Festival's opening event.
RECENT PERFORMANCES
On Tuesday, December 6th, the ensemble performed at the annual gala for Legatus.
On Saturday, October 29th, the ensemble performed for the World Youth Alliance's Emerging Leaders Conference.
On Friday, September 30th, 130 attendees gathered for a performance of the ensemble at the American Bible Society. The event was a celebration of the orchestra's recent experience performing in Madrid for World Youth Day. To view the full performance recording, click here.
