Hannah Ondiek, Director

Hannah Ondiek was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in International Relations from the United States International University of Africa. She interned in the WYA Africa office in 2007 and in the WYA North America office in 2009, and served as a committee member for the Kenya chapter. Hannah has represented WYA at various United Nations Commissions in New York in the Fall of 2009 and at the 18th International AIDS Conference in Vienna, Austria.  Hannah loves spending time with her family and friends. She is now pleased to be part of the WYA family.


Obeja Roderick, Director of Operations

Obeja was born in Uganda. He completed a BSc. Civil Engineering from Makerere University, Kampala in 2012. He has served on varied student leadership platforms. At university, he was chosen to work with a multicultural and interdisciplinary team of students from all over the world, in a UNICEF research project to impact improvements in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in local communities in developing nations from 2011-2012. He has worked with Aalto University, Finland in the Aalto-Global Impact project on implementing a UNICEF project, and also with Sampar Consulting Engineers, a formidable structural engineering firm in Uganda. He is deeply passionate about human dignity and the family in our time. He did two-month training at WYA HQs in New York, and started working as WYA Africa Regional Director of Operations in June 2013. He has a personal maxim as “Do the little things well”.
