Lord Pomperada, Director

Lord Leomer Pomperada was born in Iloilo City, Philippines. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in Manila, Philippines. After his graduation in 2012, he became an intern for WYAAP and introduced Filipino Sign Language to the WYA members. In April 2011, he also represented WYAAP at the International Solidarity Forum on Sustainable Development in New York City. Previously, he has worked with the Institute for Solidarity in Asia as a Program Assistant for Communication and Development. Prior to joining WYA, Lord served as a Philippine Youth Ambassador to the 40th Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program, a diplomatic and cultural youth exchange program that brings together more than 300 youth from ASEAN countries and Japan, providing them with an opportunity to live together on board the ship Nippon Maru for fifty-one days. He enjoys working with young people, spending time with friends and travelling to new places.

Lilia Cornelio, Director of Operations

Born and raised in Manila, Lilia Cornelio is a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in European Studies (International Track). Her passion lies in history, art, and culture. As a student, she became active in developing programs and activities for the exchange students studying in her university. After graduation, she spent two years working as part of the Audience Development Team of Ayala Museum, a prestigious privately-owned art and history museum in Manila. She became an intern for WYA Asia Pacific in 2009 and is also a co-founder of DiscLab, an art criticism and research organization focusing on Philippine Contemporary Art. Lilia enjoys exploring different countries and reading books.
