Asia Pacific

The WYA Asia Pacific Summer Camp is an exciting program that provides an enjoyable and active environment for young people to learn about the concept of human dignity and its importance to development.

We offer our camp participants an excellent opportunity to:

  • Gain the knowledge and ability to communicate articulately the idea of human dignity through our Certified Training Program.
  • Expand their horizon and develop their leadership and social skills through our various group activities.
  • Have the chance to interact with other young people and meet new friends.
  • Open up other opportunities to participate in WYA's other regional and international events.

The program will include discussions on:

  • Dignity and Human Rights
  • Placing the Person in the Center of Development
  • Advocacy Issues
  • WYA's Voice in the International Arena
  • How to Become Champions of Human Dignity

This year, the WYA Asia Pacific Summer Camp will be held in Batangas, Philippines from May 11 to 15, 2014. The venue is a beautiful and peaceful resort called Palm Beach Resort in the coast of Laiya. The meeting point for all participants will be in a designated area within Metro Manila. It will be a 2 - 3 hour drive down south from that point.

The summer camp is open to all applicants within the ages of 15 - 25 years old. We highly encourage high school students, university students, and recent graduates to apply.

Palm Beach Resort is a family resort located in Bo. Hugom, San Juan, Batangas. It runs along the same coastline of the now popular Laiya Beach. The resort is designed to be a private retreat for those who prefer the tranquility and peace. It offers a well-preserved natural setting as an alternative to other overdeveloped destinations.
