Welcome to the World Youth Alliance Slovenija!

The World Youth Alliance was founded in 1999 at the United Nations conference and is currently active on all five continents, striving for the respect of human dignity, promoting solidarity between young people in developed and developing nations. It is a global coalition of young people eager to build the culture of life in our everyday relations, in institutions, on a local and international level. WYA members wish to create world which values every human being and allows him to lead a happy and creative life.  

Young members of WYA Slovenija, together with young people from all over the globe joined in the World Youth Alliance, stand for the respect of human dignity. We wish to promote solidarity between people in Slovenia, spreading the culture of life. We intend to do it by presenting the basic values of the World Youth Alliance in Slovenia, by training young people, organising cultural events, supporting youth, non-governmental youth organisations and people in the public eye. We wish to join all those who either privately or publicly wish to spread the culture of life in our country. Let’s do it so that our future may be worthy of our dreams, our expectations and our human dignity.

WYA Slovenija Events

WYA Slovenija Weekend in Skofije 12th - 14th October

In October weekend, 12-14th, a group of WYA Slovenia members met in Skofije to inaugurate the new semester and learn about the concepts and ideas of the WYA. The farewell of summer, rhetoric's workshop, breakfast on the beach, and discussions on "the meaning of life" based on the excerpts of Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search for Meaning" were highlights of the weekend training.

WYA Spring Workshops in Ljubljana 18th – 20th May

World Youth Alliance Europe and World Youth Alliance Slovenija invite you to our Spring Workshops in Ljubljana.

This is a chance to find out more about the WYA and how it can support you in putting your ideas into practice. The workshops will provide you with valuable information on how to articulate a core message and work with media. Participants will be empowered to take an active role in the organization's structure and encouraged to discuss their ideas for communicating the concept of human dignity within their local environment. On Sunday afternoon we will visit Postojna to participate in the Slovenian Family Festival and to raise awareness about our projects and plans.

During the weekend, members of the WYA living in Slovenia and other Central European cities will build networks of friendship and exchange experiences with WYA's European Regional Director Emilia Klepacka and Regional Director of Operations Madgalena Bien. Join us in Ljubljana to celebrate the beauty of life!
