MEET THE TEAM



Daniel Wiśniewski, Director

Daniel comes from a small village in central Poland. He studied economics at the Catholic University of Louvain and Warsaw University, and international relations at Collegium Civitas in Warsaw. During his studies, he also spent a year at Kingston University London as an Erasmus student and a semester at Emory University in Atlanta. Daniel always wanted to be involved in building bridges between people from different countries and cultures. He travelled the world in order to get a broader perspective on various matters related to politics, economics and philosophy. In order to acquire international experience, he interned at the European Parliament, Permanent Representation of Poland to the European Union in Brussels and United States Congress. Daniel encountered WYA in 2006, during the conference on human dignity and solidarity organized in Warsaw. After completing his Track A training, he became a member of staff in July 2012. He enjoys spending time with friends, debating on various issues, reading about philosophy, history, politics and astronomy.
 

Agnes King, Director of Operations

Agnes King hold a Masters in Political Strategy and Communications from the Brussels School of International Studies and a B.A. in History from Christendom College in the United States. Previously, she has worked in the office of an Irish MEP at the European Parliament and at the European Center for Law and Justice in Strasbourg, France.

Juan Ignacio "Nacho" Fernandez Torres, Director of Advocacy

Nacho hails from Bilbao, Spain and holds a degree in law and economics from the University of Navarre in Pamplona. In 2010, he spent a semester in New York studying law at Fordham University. Following this, he joined the World Youth Alliance as an Advocacy Fellow at the New York Headquarters, until moving to Brussels in June 2011 to become the first Director of Advocacy for WYA Europe. Nacho enjoys engaging conversations, reading philosophy, politics and history, and spending time with his family and friends.
