The Dignity Forum is a programme activity of the World Youth Alliance under the education programme that takes place at least twice a year. It brings together young people, members, and youth leaders to interact on topical events using the Dignity Lens, as we continue to aim toward human excellence using a series of conversations in the form of panel discussions, or specific talks. The Africa Regional Office will host our 1st Dignity Forum for 2019 which we shall held at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), in Partnership with the Law School in Karen, Nairobi Kenya on Thursday, February 28, 2019.
The topic of discussion shall be on “Good Governance by the Youth”– therefore the Forum will engage the youth and members in attendance to share ideas on good governance, the challenges affecting Africa, and how we can engage the youth to be part of delivering good governance. We will also work to encourage the observance of human dignity as we undertake good governance to tackle these challenges to ensure the approaches are person centered. Young people will also gain intellectual stimulation and formation by listening to and contributing to conversations. In addition, it helps to develop their public speaking capacity and the style of logical presentation.
We shall be expecting an attendance from the Law Schools in Kenya, as well as a Key Note Address and Panel Session from leaders in this area within the legal field in Kenya, together with presentations from students within some of the Law Schools Present.
