WYAE Emerging Leaders Conference 2021: Human Dignity Debate in the European Parliament

November 15 - November 17

About the Emerging Leaders Conference

Keeping in mind the current circumstances due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided to host the project in person in Brussels.
In case the epidemiological situation changes we are keeping the right to hold the project online.

The Emerging Leaders Conference (ELC) is an annual event hosted by World Youth Alliance Europe, which seeks to bring together young leaders, active members and youth advocates from across Europe to interact with policy makers, experts and leaders on current global issues. It also provides young individuals with special training on programs in those areas to give them the adequate tools to make a difference in their own communities. Known for its intimate forum for dialogue, as well as intellectual formation via lectures and discussions, the ELC fosters a meaningful network of friendships based on a shared vision of the human person. Therefore, we call upon the members of the partner organization, volunteers and those young people who are interested in learning more about European policy and human rights.

Following the successful 9th, first virtual edition of the Emerging Leaders Conference in November 2020, WYA Europe and WYA Germany are delighted to announce its 10th edition, sponsored by the Erasmus+ programme. This year’s conference theme is Human Dignity Debate in the European Parliament and it will take place in person from the 15th to the 17th of November 2021. Youth from 10 European countries will be participating in the event. The main aim of ELC 2021 is to empower youth in understanding the human rights and raise their awareness about importance of civil advocacy knowledge. During the Conference, youth will gain knowledge about how to get involved in advocacy processes and prepare strategies that will help them and other youth to be informed about the EU institutions, human rights, as well as youth dialogue and youth policies. The participants will get an opportunity to meet Members of the European Parliament, who will be able to give them a better insight in Development of EU Politics and Human Rights.
