About the Emerging Leaders Conference
Keeping in mind the current circumstances due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided to move the project online.
The Emerging Leaders Conference (ELC) is an annual event hosted by World Youth Alliance Europe, which seeks to bring together young leaders, active members and youth advocates from across Europe to interact with policy makers, experts and leaders on current global issues. It also provides young individuals with special training on programs in those areas to give them the adequate tools to make a difference in their own communities. Known for its intimate forum for dialogue, as well as intellectual formation via lectures and discussions, the ELC fosters a meaningful network of friendships based on a shared vision of the human person. Therefore, we call upon the members of the partner organization, volunteers and those young people who are interested in learning more about European policy and human rights.
Following the immensely successful 8th Emerging Leaders Conference held in Brussels last year, WYA Europe is delighted to announce its 9th edition, co-funded by the European Youth Foundation – a fund established by the Council of Europe. This year’s conference theme is Youth for Women’s Health & Rights and it will take place online from the 2nd to the 6th of November 2020. Youth from 13 European countries will be participating in the event. The main aim of ELC 2020 is to empower youth in understanding the human rights and raise their awareness about women’s health. During the Conference, youth will gain knowledge about how to get involved in advocacy processes and prepare strategies that will help them and other youth to be informed about human rights, right to health and women’s health.
