Population and Development: Changing age structures

Thank you for your interest in the 2007 International Solidarity Forum (ISF). The World Youth Alliance is very pleased to have so many talented and committed applicants. The ISF is a yearly event of the World Youth Alliance for some of our most dedicated members from around the world. The ISF is a perfect opportunity for growth to take place while also offering real experience at the highest level of international consensus-building and policy development.
This year the ISF coincides with the 40th session of the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) as organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The official theme of the ISF and the CPD will be the following: The Changing Age Structures of Populations and their Implications for Development.
47 Member States elected by the Economic and Social Council will have representation at the Commission. The CPD will serve to play the primary role in the follow-up to the implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development which was drafted in
As an accredited non-governmental organization, the World Youth Alliance works directly with delegates of permanent missions to the United Nations from all corners of the world. It is imperative that WYA members are able to articulate our goals and ideas in the most effective manner.
