WYA Chamber Orchestra Auditions Young Musicians

Spring 2010: WYA Chamber Orchestra Auditions Young Musicians

WYA invites violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists (under age 21), to audition for the WYA Chamber Orchestra, a conductorless string ensemble of 10-20 musicians from around the world.

Selected musicians will have the opportunity to:

  • Compete for solo opportunities
  • Perform at the United Nations and other prestigious international venues
  • Collaborate to prepare standard repertoire and premiere the works of young composers

Purpose:  To gather young cultural ambassadors who seek to inspire international cooperation by highlighting the fundamental ideas that empower diverse cultures to find effective solutions.  The WYA Chamber Orchestra seeks musicians who wish to support WYA’s commitment to the inalienable dignity of the human person as the foundation for every human right.  To read and sign the WYA charter, please visit www.wya.net/charter/index.html.
