Following three successful editions of the European Arts Forum held in Brussels, WYA Europe is delighted to announce its fourth edition. EAF will gather artists, art critics, scholars, European decision-makers and participants from across Europe for an exhibition, workshops and conferences that will examine the relationship between art and the common European values.
This year’s theme is ‘Arts and Common Values’ and will take place in Brussels from the 23rd to the 27th of June 2018. The Forum will simultaneously exhibit the diverse work of young artists from across Europe and equip the youth with the tools necessary to fully accept and support common European values of human dignity, freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights. The exhibition can range from musical and dancing performances, sculpture, painting, to jewelry making, and coffee bean mosaics.
‘The World Youth Alliance affirms the transformative power of art, which encourages the individual to move beyond oneself, to connect with a greater community, and to contribute to society and culture. Art provides a window into the complexity, integrity, and beauty of human nature and the natural world. Art is an expression of human dignity and is an important part of the individual’s desire for self-expression in the world. Artists play a crucial role in understanding human life. In art and its transcendent journey, we experience the depth of our human freedom’.
