WYA presents “Population & Development” to Cardinal Spellman High School

On October 22, the World Youth Alliance had the incredible opportunity to speak in front of nearly 1,400 students of Cardinal Spellman High School in Bronx, New York.  For its annual pro-life assembly, WYA was invited to present on the topic of ‘Population and Development’ by uncovering the myths of overpopulation and proposing real solutions to poverty.

Our Director of Advocacy, Becky Marchinda, our North American Director, Amanda Pirih, along with six interns and fellows spoke about the prevalence of government-sponsored population control programs and how they are not only ineffective in reducing poverty, but violate the dignity of the human person as well.
