The Camp

Now on its 6th year, the WYA Asia Pacific Summer Training Camp is an annual training event for selected WYA members. The Summer Training Camp is a fun way for members to complete our Certified Training Program (CTP). We aim to provide participants an excellent opportunity for learning and fun in a relaxed, distraction-free environment.

The Date

The Summer Training Camp will take place from May 14-19, 2012 for a total of six days.

The Venue

This year, the camp will be held at the La Parola Orchids Resort in Patnongon, Antique. The venue is a beautiful and peaceful resort by the beach of Panay Island. The main meeting point before proceeding to the camp venue will be in Iloilo City, Philippines.

The Target Participants

The Camp is open to all WYA members from the Asia Pacific region ages 16 to 30 years old. All accepted participants are required to finish reading the CTP manual prior to arrival in the camp to ensure active and informed participation from all campers. The Program

The Camp is an intensive 6-day program for WYA members. The Training Camp involves plenary workshops, group discussions, individual presentations, fun games, leadership training, outdoor activities, CTP module answer time, among others. The end goal of the camp is to equip WYA members with skills and knowledge that will help them more actively promote the dignity of the person in their own communities.

The Application Process

Given the limited number of camp slots, all interested WYA members must go through the application process. Only accepted applicants will be allowed to join the camp. You will be notified via email or phone if you have been accepted to the program. Camp details and payment procedure will only be given to you once you have confirmed your participation in the camp.
