On November 7th, the World Youth Alliance Headquarters kicked off a new concert series for children called “Classical Music for Kids”. This first performance, entitled “Music is Feelings!”, featured a violinist, a violist, and an opera singer who performed the music of Bach, Bizet, and Gershwin, engaging the audience to appreciate how this music expresses emotions that all human beings experience.
The “Classical Music for Kids” concert series will continue with a performance on February 6th, 2011 entitled “Music is Movement!” and conclude with a performance on May 1st, 2011 entitled “Music Tells a Story!” For more details, check out our “Classical Music for Kids” webpage here.
These performances aim to make classical music more accessible to young audiences while highlighting the depth of the human person as expressed through the performing arts.
