As proof that even the COVID-19 pandemic is not holding us back, the World Youth Alliance welcomes members from all over the world to the online internship program. On this occasion, WYA Latin America is pleased to introduce the new team of interns from Peru, and Colombia. The students are ready to take on the challenge of educating and promoting WYA’s mission, expanding their understanding and promotion of human dignity through project management and marketing tasks that they will develop from May to September online.
Meet Maria Fernanda!
Maria Fernanda Diaz, from the city of Lima, Peru, is 23 years old and studied business administration at the University of Piura. She is a fan of sports activities, especially the pediment. Her favorite activities include dancing, reading and clowning. Maria Fernanda is enthusiastic, has the ability to communicate in public and likes to work as a team, valuing the relationships she forge with others. Maria Fernanda is responsible and helpful.
“I seek to be part of organizations with a responsible mission and vision, where I can apply all my knowledge and grow with them”– she declares.
Meet Brigitte!
Brigitte Hidalgo Soriano comes from Trujillo in Peru, is a psychology student at the Antenor Orrego Private University of Trujillo. She was a Peruvian delegate on scholarship at The Youth Assembly 2020. She also participated in MCW Global 2020 Young Leaders Conference – Peru Virtual Edition. Brigitte is co-founder of Psychology and Coffee, an Instagram page created with the purpose of promoting mental health and providing a safe space in which people can express themselves. Currently, she is Director of Institutional Image and Marketing of United Peruvian Youth, a Peruvian organization of and for young leaders, aligned to the SDGs, as well as Certified Coach of the World Youth Alliance.
“As a future Psychologist, I am aware of the importance of valuing and treasuring every human being, showing respect and standing for everyone’s dignity. For this reason, I feel so proud to be part of WYA, of the youth that takes action to make this happen,” she declares.
Meet Nicolle!
Nicolle Sanchez was born in Lima, Peru, is a psychology student at the University of Piura. Nicolle is passionate about helping others, therefore, she has done volunteer activities among which are her participation in TECHO, volunteering on theology courses and has been part of the UNIVAS volunteer project. Nicolle enjoys reading novels, scientific papers on philosophy and theology, as well as watching scientific lectures.
Her goal as a professional is to use her knowledge of Psychology in working life, with the application of strategies, learning development, people governments and leadership, among others.
Meet Julia!
Julia Pinday Bautista was born in the city of Piura, Peru. She is a scholarship student of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Piura. Her interests are art, culture, history and heritage, she is also a dancer of folk dances since she was a child, and has belonged to various artistic groups. Her interest in getting involved organizations with social purposes led her to belong to various volunteers as part of the areas of project management and logistics, she was also part of the team of leaders of the #EducationTeam in “The Dignity Project” by WYA Latin America; on the other hand, she is part of the digital marketing team in the student association “C’CULTURA”.
In its desire to deepen its knowledge and interest in human rights, it accepts new challenges enthusiastically and proactively; she is a member and certified coach of WYA Latin America.
Meet Mateo!
Mateo Arévalo from Cundinamarca, Colombia is a university student of Digital Design, is 19 years old, He is a young man passionate about design, technology and robotics, has participated in international competitions and is National Champion in VEX Robotics. He enjoys communicating with people, is sociable and empathetic, and considers their differences and appreciates the diversity of knowledge, personalities and relationships that can be formed. It is also focused on teaching many young people in professional and vocational fields.
Mateo values each anecdote and learning lived with his friends and family, and is also interested in researching his ancestors. He currently likes to focus on helping others and leaving his mark on the world.

Conoce el Nuevo Batch de Pasantes de WYA Latinoamérica
Como prueba de que ni la pandemia de COVID- 19 nos detiene, la World Youth Alliance le da la bienvenida a miembros de todo el mundo al programa de pasantías en línea. En esta oportunidad, WYA Latin America tiene el placer de presentar al nuevo equipo de pasantes provenientes de Perú, y Colombia. Los estudiantes están listos para asumir el desafío de educar y promover misión de WYA, ampliando su comprensión y promoción de la dignidad humana a través de tareas de gestión de proyectos y marketing que desarrollaran de mayo a septiembre de manera online.

Maria Fernanda Diaz, proviene de la ciudad de Lima, Perú, tiene 23 años y estudio la carrera de Administración de empresas en la Universidad de Piura. Es fan de las actividades deportivas, en especial del frontón. Entre sus actividades favoritas destacan bailar, leer y hacer clown. Maria Fernanda es entusiasta, tiene habilidad para comunicarse en público y le gusta trabajar en equipo, valorando las relaciones que forja con los demás. Maria Fernanda es responsable y servicial,
Busco formar parte de organizaciones con una misión y visión responsable, donde pueda aplicar todos mis conocimientos y crecer con ellas – declara.

Brigitte Hidalgo Soriano viene de Trujillo en Perú, es estudiante de Psicología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego de Trujillo. Fue delegada peruana becada en The Youth Assembly 2020. Brigitte es cofundadora de Psicología y Café, una página de Instagram creada con la finalidad de promover la salud mental y brindar un espacio seguro en el que las personas puedan expresarse. Actualmente, es Directora de Imagen Institucional y Marketing de United Peruvian Youth, una organización peruana de y para jóvenes líderes, alineada a los ODS, así como Entrenadora Certificada de la World Youth Alliance.
Como futura psicóloga, soy consciente de la importancia de valorar y atesorar a cada ser humano, mostrando respeto y defendiendo su dignidad. Por esta razón, me siento muy orgullosa de formar parte de la WYA, de la juventud que actúa para que esto se vuelva realidad. – declara.

Nicolle Sanchez nació en Lima, Perú, es estudiante de Psicología en la Universidad de Piura. A Nicolle le apasiona ayudar a los demás, por ende, ha hecho actividades de voluntariado entre las que destacan su participación en TECHO, voluntariado sobre cursos de Teología y ha formado parte del proyecto de voluntariado UNIVAS. Nicolle disfruta de leer novelas, papers científicos sobre filosofía y teología, además de ver conferencias científicas.
Su objetivo como profesional es lograr emplear sus conocimientos de Psicología en la vida laboral, con la aplicación de estrategias, desarrollo de aprendizaje, gobiernos de personas y liderazgo, entre otras.

Sus intereses son el arte, la cultura, la historia y el patrimonio, tambien es bailarina de danzas folclóricas desde niña, y ha pertenecido a diversos grupos artísticos. Su interés por involucrase organizaciones con fines sociales la llevaron a pertenecer a diversos voluntariados formando parte de las áreas de gestión de proyectos y logística, también fue parte del equipo de líderes del #EducationTeam en “The Dignity Project” por WYA Latin America; por otro lado, es parte del equipo de marketing digital en la asociación estudiantil “C’CULTURA”.

Mateo Arévalo de Cundinamarca, Colombia es un estudiante universitario de Diseño Digital, tiene 19 años, Es un joven apasionado por el diseño, la tecnología y la robótica, ha participado en competencias internacionales y es Campeón Nacional en VEX Robotics. Le gusta comunicarse con las personas, es sociable y empático, y considera sus diferencias y aprecia la diversidad de conocimientos, personalidades y relaciones que se pueden llegar a formar. También está enfocado en enseñar a muchos jóvenes en ámbitos profesionales y vocacionales.
Mateo valora cada anécdota y aprendizaje vivido junto a sus amigos y familia, además le interesa investigar sobre sus ancestros. Actualmente le gusta enfocarse en ayudar a los demás y dejar su huella en el mundo.
