FOURTH WYA PRESIDENT COMES FROM AFRICA

The World Youth Alliance (WYA) is pleased to announce the selection of Obadias Ndaba as the fourth President of the WYA.

Obadias was born in Rwanda, and is the youngest of five children. He was introduced to the World Youth Alliance in 2006 while studying Economics at Kigali Independent University where he graduated with Honors in 2009. Prior to joining WYA, Obadias worked for KCB Bank and Inkingi Microfinance.

Since 2010, Obadias has served as our Director for World Youth Alliance Africa. During his tenure, many new projects have been initiated, membership has soared, national chapters have been established, and a series of regional conferences have been solidified and maintained.

“We are delighted at this decision,” stated WYA Founder, Anna Halpine, “And look forward to expanding Obadias’ leadership skills and membership development plans and projects throughout all of our regions.”

Obadias will begin as the World Youth Alliance President following our farewell and thank you to outgoing President, Francois Jacob, at a reception on May 15, 2012 at WYA Headquarters in New York.
