True Impressions

Art attempts to find in the universe, in matter as well as in the facts of life, what is fundamental, enduring, essential.

This quotation from Conrad reminds us that art not only shows us reality but reveals something hidden to the eyes. This adding value to a simple copy of what exists comes from the human spirit who creates the piece. Art allows us to see the pursuit of artists, but also of every human being, for something beyond our reality. Art manifests the interrogation of the artist in front of the reality, his looking for meaning. We believe at WYA that this quest of artists is essential and inspires everybody. Because art expresses a sense of transcendence over the world of existence, WYA North America chose to encourage artists by launching our visual arts competition. This project is a unique opportunity for young artists across North America to see their art works display at our DDD conference in Yale University in September. The submission deadline is coming soon: April, 30! We invite all young artists to be part of this great meaningful project! More info and submission form can be found here.
