WYAA TRAINS KIBERA YOUTH BEADING

Ten youth from the sprawling Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya benefited with beading skills courtesy of the World Youth Alliance. The dignity project organized by Sylvia Omina, an intern was aimed at tackling unemployment amongst the youth through skills training and directing Small business in the community towards achieving sustainability. The participants were drawn from Nairobi Ngoma -a youth group in Kibera that is involved in such activities as theatre; where the youth are engaged in choral verses, dances, skits and puppetry.
