April 9, 2021, Thomas Aquinas College, Massachusetts – On April 9, WYA North America Regional Director Siobhan Heekin-Canedy visited her alma mater and shared some career advice with current students. Siobhan graduated from Thomas Aquinas College’s Santa Paula, California campus in 2018, but since then, the college has opened a second campus in Northfield, Massachusetts, just a few hours’ drive from the WYA North America regional office. Siobhan made the trip to Northfield with her husband and 6-month old baby girl, both of whom are great supporters of WYA!
During her talk, she was able to speak about her current work with World Youth Alliance and to encourage the students to apply for an online summer internship with WYA North America. The talk was very well-attended, with around 20 participants – almost 1/5 of the student body! We hope to receive some strong applications and give TAC students the opportunity to get involved in WYA’s mission and work this summer.
