World Youth Alliance (WYA) interns Flannery McGale, Kara Medina, Parawee Techapermphon, and Pauline Superable along with WYA Regional Director Weronika Janczuk and Regional Director of Operations Julia Kenney traveled to Washington DC to participate in the 2017 March for Life. Millions of pro-life advocates gathered for the 44th consecutive year to peacefully protest the legalization of abortion in the United States by the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe vs. Wade 1973 ruling.
Men, women, and children of all creeds, races and religions joined together in solidarity to give a voice to the voiceless and defend the dignity of the human person from the moment of conception to natural death. Individuals, families, colleges, universities, high schools, religious groups, politicians, and organizations from all over the United States and around the world gathered at the nation’s capital for this noble cause.
The pre-march rally featured various influential leaders including U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, Kellyanne Conway (Counselor to the President of the United States), Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan (Archbishop of New York ), Abby Johnson (pro-life activist ), and Benjamin Watson (NFL player).
WYA staff and interns proudly represented WYA’s support for the pro-life movement in the United States. WYA’s participation in the March For Life is an important way to defend and advocate for the dignity of every human person from the moment of conception to natural death.
