Young film directors are invited to submit short films that creatively portray human dignity and authentic accounts of the human experience. WYA welcomes films that represent the triumph of the human spirit, heroic accounts of the individual’s use of freedom, the power of solidarity among people from diverse backgrounds, and other related themes that artfully draw viewers into deeper contemplation of the human condition. Application deadline: December 1st, 2011.
The top film submissions will receive a screening at WYA’s Manhattan International Film Festival scheduled for January 27-28, 2012 at Marymount Manhattan College and the World Youth Alliance headquarters in New York City. Top films will also be eligible for a private screening opportunity at the United Nations.
