The Lebanese National Committee of the World Youth Alliance Middle East organized a fun cultural event at the Brazilian Cultural Center in Beirut.
The event was entitled “Diversity By The Senses” which aimed at celebrating the diversity in Lebanon by highlighting the different parts of Lebanon’s population. Syrians, Ethiopians, Americans and Lebanese attended the event revealing the beauty of diversity.
Several organizations other than World Youth Alliance made presentations about their field of work and how members can become actively engaged, mainly: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Helem and Brasiliban (the Brazilian Cultural Center in Lebanon).
Homemade Ethiopian food and coffee were served. In addition, live music and dancing breaks accompanied the event. The gathering resulted in generating new members for WYAME in an event which employed the Cultural tool of WYA in promoting Human Dignity: Music.
