European Director of Advocacy Delivers a Lecture at Ordo Iuris Legal Center in Warsaw

Juan Ignacio Fernandez, European Director of Advocacy, also recently delivered a workshop sponsored by Ordo Iuris Law Center on “How to analyse the European Parliament resolutions and advocate in the European legislative process?” The workshop took place at Warsaw University and focused on the European Court of Justice (ECJ) decision Brüstle v. Greenpeace and its impact on the EU Framework Programme of Research and Innovation. Juan Ignacio explained how the ECJ makes clear that “the destruction of human embryos for commercial purposes violates the integrity of the human body and human dignity.”  He showcased how the EU Commission and some Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) continue to endorse funding for embryonic stem cell research, despite the ECJ decision.
