May 23, 2020, New York, USA – Since the quarantine started after the pandemic, the World Youth Alliance HQ engaged members digitally by conducting cultural calls through online video conferences. One of them was the WYA Global “CultureFest” which was open for all WYA members.
The call gathered around 100 members from all 6 regions and different time zones globally. The session included cultural presentations from France, Colombia, Nepal, USA, Kenya, Italy, Morocco, Mexico, Croatia and many more. There were also breakout rooms where WYA members had the chance to get to know each other in smaller groups, share their thoughts and learn about each other and the work WYA does in their countries.
In a time of distress in different parts of the world, WYA is happy to unite all its members to practice solidarity and human excellence in a fun digital way. The office would like to send their utmost appreciation to everyone who attended and all the WYA leaders who shared about their culture in the breakout sessions.
