The International Solidarity Forum is WYA’s major annual training event and brings together our best members from around the world to learn about a specific policy issue. This year’s theme is “Assisted Reproductive Technologies and the Human Person,” which is a growing issue in both the developed and the developing world. The international sale of egg and sperm, pre-natal sex selection and international surrogate motherhood are issues that touch the core of human identity. These technologies call into question the intrinsic value of the person, the unconditional love of parents as well as our tolerance and support of people with disabilities.
