The World Youth Alliance (WYA) is pleased to announce the selection of Julia Kenney as the new Director of Operations of WYA North America. Julia signed the WYA Charter in November, 2014.
Prior to becoming a staff member, Julia interned at WYA’s headquarters in New York City. She visited with the local high school chapter involving them in Model UN Negotiations and the International Solidarity Forum. Additionally, she co-organized the 2016 International Summer Camp, contributed to the WYA blog, and led social media initiatives.
In May of 2013, Julia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame, IN). She served in healthcare administration, direct patient care, athletic administration, and primary and secondary education. Through her experiences, she discovered her desire to influence integral human development so that all young people may lead truly free and fulfilling lives.
Julia looks forward to empowering young people with truth so that they may develop their entire personhood and contribute to society as virtuous leaders. She believes WYA comprehensively articulates how the dignity of the human person serves as the foundation of society. Her role will be to help young people understand and integrate this concept into all aspects of society and culture.
Julia will officially begin leading WYA North America as its new Director of Operations in May, 2016.
