At the very heart of the World Youth Alliance are our members. During the month of March, we celebrate them and mark this through our Member’s Month campaign! We kicked the month off in Kenya, where 200 young leaders affirmed that youth are “a force for economic development and change” and not a burden. Last week, a member from Poland addressed the world’s representatives at the UN Commission on the Status of Women. You can read more delegate reports on our regional blogs.
Members of WYA are young people between the ages of ten and thirty years of age who sign our charter and stand in solidarity with fellow youth around the world in promoting the dignity of all human persons in the areas of policy, culture, and education. Last year, over 12,000 new members signed the Charter! In 2012, we are relying on your help to gain even more members.
This month, we’re inviting all of you to join us in our efforts to recruit more people. You can tell your friends to sign the Charter, attend our events or invite your WYA regional staff to your school, university, youth club, church, etc.
Thank you for your ongoing support and contribution to the work of the World Youth Alliance.
