Opportunities Launched by WYA and Minerva Schools at KGI
September 28, 2020 – The World Youth Alliance, in partnership with Minerva Schools at KGI, officially launched a series of online workshops on negotiation, leadership, persuasive speech, and the decision matrix.
Negotiation, the first out of the four series, is available for all WYA members to be held on October 9th. Registration for the upcoming workshops will be released from October – November 2020. Only 30 participants for each will be selected based on their application.
Members of the World Youth Alliance network have already shown themselves to be compassionate about the world around them and committed to creating a more equitable global society. This makes them an ideal candidate to explore Minerva’s unparalleled university programs.
Minerva is a university based in San Francisco, California, that equips and empowers motivated students with the skills and experience to address some of the world’s complex challenges through:
Global Understanding: Minerva students do not merely study diverse cultures, they experience them firsthand, living in up to seven uniquely significant cities around the world during their four years – San Francisco, Berlin, Buenos Aires, London, Seoul, Hyderabad, Taipei. Learning transcends the classroom, as with each new location, curated partnerships give students first-hand experience applying the concepts they learn in class to a variety of real world contexts and situations.
Pragmatic Liberal Arts: Applied knowledge is at the core of Minerva’s curriculum. Every class is a small seminar centered on intensive discussion and debate. Minerva students develop critical and creative thinking skills through active learning, not memorization and lectures.
Real-world Experience: Every student receives life-long career support. The Coaching & Talent Development team works to help students define their passions, curate networks for internships and jobs, and build career skills to excel in the professional world. Students have interned at companies such as Accenture, Apple, Amazon, CNN Global, Google, Mistletoe, United Nations, and many more.
Accessibility: The application is free to enable interested candidates with the opportunity to apply. Additionally, Minerva offers need-based financial aid to help all admitted students to attend, including international students.
Minerva is one of the opportunities that someone concerned with upholding human dignity can rely on to broaden their world view by virtue of our integrated and interdisciplinary learning curriculum and exposure to, and immersion in various global contexts.
