On January 22, a day when temperatures were below freezing and bitterly cold winds blew through the nation’s capital, the World Youth Alliance joined thousands in Washington D.C. for the March for Life. WYA staff, interns, volunteers and members marched to defend the dignity of the human person.
The WYA delegation gathered at the National Mall, marched down Constitution Avenue and convened in front of the US Capitol. The event took place on the 41st anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion throughout the U.S. The delegation also brought WYA’s presence to a number of important conferences including the Youth Rally, the Students for Life Conference and the Cardinal O’Connor Conference for Life at Georgetown University. The belief that every human person holds inviolable dignity sparked the dedication with which WYA’s staff and interns marched in the historic cold of that day.
