World Youth Alliance welcomes over 80 participants from 22 countries for its 7th Annual International Solidarity Forum at United Nations Headquarters

(NEW YORK: March 17, 2010) World Youth Alliance (WYA), a global coalition of young people promoting the dignity of the human person in policy and culture, is expecting the largest and most diverse group of members for its 7th International Solidarity Forum, to take place from March 21 – 24, 2010 at United Nations and WYA Headquarters in New York City. The theme of this year’s ISF is Maternal Health: The Real Needs of Women in the Development Context

“World Youth Alliance is eagerly anticipating the arrival of many dedicated members from every region of the world for our International Solidarity Forum,” states Rebecca Austen, Director of Advocacy for the World Youth Alliance. “Every year at the ISF, participants are exposed to high-level speakers who are experts in their fields, and participate in UN-style negotiations to draft and adopt a declaration. We are anticipating that this year’s speakers will open our eyes in terms of knowledge and expertise and that our Declaration on Maternal Health will be a strong statement promoting the rights of women everywhere.”
