WYA Africa Books give away at a local high school; Loreto Convent Valley Road

World Youth Alliance Africa donated books to Loreto Convent Valley Road Library. They were received by Solomon Daudi, the librarian, who came to pick them up from the World Youth Alliance Africa office. The books were collected from a book drive spearheaded by Tany Kigany, an intern alumna from batch 1 internship of 2015.

The Loreto Convent Valley Road  has been a one-time winner of the “Maktaba Award”. WYA Africa believes that this donation is an opportunity for  students to grow in reading and language skills and general knowledge. WYA Africa continues to empower the African students and girl child as we approach the International Day of the Girl Child this October.

The official presentation was done during an assembly in the school on the morning of Friday, 7th October 2016 to the Senior Prefects, and the Head girl. WYA Africa’s Regional Director Patricia Gwambo and intern Leila Kamweru introduced World Youth Alliance to the students and invited them to upcoming events mainly Furaha Camp, Africa Arts Forum, and the African Emerging Leaders Conference.
