2018 has been a phenomenal year for the Africa region as we continued to see more members engaged in World Youth Alliance activities both regionally and globally. This year, we had 5 active members join other members from our respective regions as part of the delegation to the International Solidarity Forum 2018 whose theme was Human Dignity and Bioethics.
Our members were part of the discussions that led to the constitution of the declaration from the ISF, in addition they received a lot of insight on current issues around bioethics that are affecting human dignity globally. Most of the issues discussed are emerging on the African continent and we need to be able to understand them and continue to be dignity defenders as regards to them.
The African delegation constituted Doreen (Uganda), Adam (Kenya), Rodrigue (Democratic Republic of Congo), Dannis (Kenya) and Anne (Kenya). We cannot thank this team enough for representing Africa Youth from WYA on such a core issue. We shall have them speak at the upcoming Africa Emerging Leaders Conference in November where they shall be sharing more on what they learnt and their experience. We are looking forward to more members participating last here, kindly look out for details here later in the year.
