WYA Africa Holds First CTP Training of Trainers

Last August 20-22, World Youth Alliance Africa held an inaugural Training of Trainers for the Certified Training Program (CTP). Ten young people in attendance were equipped with the skills needed to transfer what they learned from the CTP to other youth by serving as trainers and eventually, as chapter leaders. The lead trainer for the 3-day training was WYA Global President Lord Pomperada. We also had a guest trainer, Njoki Karwega Gathiri from Vessel of Honor, who expounded on the best practices in training diverse audiences.

We look forward to the growth the Africa region will experience as the new trainers go back to their communities to put what they have learned into practice. The training witnessed a good representation with certified members from Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Kenya.

We are already anticipating the next training and will keep you posted for the 2nd CTP TOT.
