Wednesday, July 15 to Thursday, July 16, 2020 – The World Youth Alliance Africa introduced Fertility Education and Medical Management (FEMM) to students from 2 nursing schools in Mwanza, Tanzania. FEMM is a program by the WYA sister organization and was developed to help women to understand their reproductive health and make informed decisions about their well-being.
The sessions brought together 24 students from Bukumbi Nursing School and 30 students from Sumve Nursing School. The program is of critical value to medical practitioners as it helps them to practice their profession by providing quality and person-centered healthcare to women. The sessions were conducted by David Kisache who has undertaken the FEMM teacher training.
