WYA Africa Trains New CTP Trainers

Nov. 18, 2019, Nairobi, Kenya – The World Youth Alliance Africa organized a Certified Training Program Training of Trainers (CTP ToT) at the World Youth Alliance Africa office in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya on Monday the 18th of November 2019. The full-day training that started at 9AM in the morning concluded at 5PM and was conducted by Lord Leomer Pomperada, the World Youth Alliance President. The training involved certified members including the current Batch 3 interns and alumni.

The training started with an introduction to World Youth Alliance activities and information about why the training necessary especially for aspiring CTP trainers. It also gave information about the different characters and personalities one is bound to encounter when having a training session with different groups of people.

The main activity of the day was practice teaching sessions where each participant was given a chapter to teach and everyone else in the class given a role or character to simulate. This was the most interesting part as everyone got a chance to showcase his or her ability to conduct a session while the rest played different roles in distracting the moderator.

The team was also able to send the World Youth Alliance International Director of Operations an African themed birthday message since her birthday was on the same day. The training concluded by awarding the trainees certificates for participation in the ToT and a group photo.
