World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific Regional Director Lord Pomperada signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the London School of Public Relations-Jakarta Career Center last July 15, 2015 at Prof. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall-Campus B of LSPR. Ms. Candy Hernandez, M.Si, Head of the Career Centre and Assistant Dean for Mass Communication Studies represented LSPR at the signing ceremony.
The partnership agreement focuses on the internship program of WYA Asia Pacific. LSPR-Jakarta will be sending regional interns to the WYA Asia Pacific office starting this year. The school is also planning to open a WYA Chapter by next year after a group of students have undergone and passed the Track A Training program of WYA.
“I am interested to join WYA to acquire more knowledge in the field of study of social sciences and international relations. Especially since the WYA focused on social issues, such as culture, population, and family, where I’m expecting to have a new insights of the matter through meaningful discussion between members and conferences,” Janita Jaya, a senior International Relations Studies student shares. “I’m interested to undergo the Track A Training, and also if I may have the chance, to join the conferences of WYA. I have always wanted to learn more about social issues and culture,” she adds.
LSPR-Jakarta is a recognized educational institution both nationally and internationally with a purpose of providing high quality education and prepares highly qualified skilled graduates that are capable and competent in the field of communication. The school offers undergraduate programmes leading to a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Marketing, Advertising and Performing Art Studies.
