WYA Asia Pacific partnered with Youth for Peace Advocacy Movement (YFPAM) for the 2nd National Youth Leadership Seminar (NYLS), which gathered almost 500 Filipino youth leaders from different regions of the country from May 28-31, 2015 at Tanay Adventure Camp, Rizal, Philippines.

WYA Asia Pacific Director Lord Pomperada spoke during the first module about “Leadership, Dignity and Common Good.” He was joined by regional interns Anica Araneta and Cherrie Magbanua who invited the youth participants to join WYA and its different programs through the talk and at the WYA booth.

During Lord’s speech, he presented different challenges around the world to dignity and the common good and challenged the youth to play a role in solving these global issues and securing the world’s future.

“Anything worth doing is always worth doing with others. We are a global family and we have a shared responsibility to our fellow brothers and sisters. Alone we can do so little but together we can do so much,” Lord inspired the delegates.

Established in 2009, the YFPAM is a coalition of various youth organizations that pursue genuine peace. The 2nd NYLS aims to develop the participants to become proactive youth leaders and genuine peace advocates thru skills and team development, workshops, values education and informative lectures.
