Four GMA Artist Center talents, namely, Kristoffer Martin, Charee Pineda, Joanna Marie Tan and Julian Trono were officially launched as World Youth Alliance (WYA) Ambassadors during the Asia Pacific Solidarity and Cultural Night of the 3rd WYA Asia Pacific Emerging Leaders Conference held at Traders Hotel Manila last October 17, 2014. The launch followed from their training and signing of a memorandum of agreement.
In relation to the ELC’s theme “Strengthening the Family: Key to Asia Pacific Development,” the WYA Ambassadors shared the importance of their families in their lives, especially in their careers as artists.
“My family is my first line of defense,” Julian said. Meanwhile, both Joanna and Charee inspired the delegates to be “good role models,” and leave a “lasting legacy” for the good of society.
“A lot of leaders from different countries went all the way here in the Philippines for the annual Emerging Leaders Conference. We may be different by races, but we all have the same heart. A heart that is willing to help, to encourage and be able to voice out regardless of our different dialects. We’re just getting started! Cheers!” Julian shared in his Instagram account. He also performed a special dance number for the participants.
The partnership with the Artist Center aims to provide support to the advocacy, membership and programs of WYA Asia Pacific; opportunities for the artists to expand their professional career in the field of youth development, training and empowerment; and an avenue for the artists to have an opportunity to gain experience in the different projects of WYA Asia Pacific.
