WYA Contributes to Young Women’s Conference in D.C.


On June 8 th , WYA CEO and Founder Anna Halpine was invited to speak at the Given Form, a women’s leadership conference held in Washington, D.C. Anna spoke to over 300 women about WYA’s founding, FEMM, and HDC, and was then a part of a panel discussion on the Feminine Genius.

Also in attendance as participants were WYANA Director Carissa Tinley, WYANA Intern and WYA Benedictine Chapter Leader Jordan Cannella, Former WYANA Intern and WYA Benedictine Chapter Leader Lauren Benzing, FEMM Teacher Anna Capizzi, and Incoming FEMM Intern Kailey Gotta.

Capizzi held a FEMM Information session during the conference, and was available to answer questions, as were Tinley and Cannella. Participants expressed interest in becoming FEMM teachers, starting the Certified Training Program, and implementing the Human Dignity Curriculum in their local schools.

The participants of the conference were from all 50 states of the United States, and WYA North America is excited to see the region develop through their assistance.
