The 4th Emerging Leaders Conference was held from 27th to 30th November in Brussels. It gathered more than 60 participants all over Europe to meet decision-makers, intellectuals and activists under the theme “Population and Environment: Building a Sustainable World”. |

WYA Europe Director of Advocacy Antonio Mellado represented WYA Europe during the opening of the sculptural exhibition Triste Figura, honoring the 400th anniversary of El Quijote. All European Program for Cultural Excellence participants will also be invited to participate or exhibit their works in Brussels during the third edition of the European Arts Forum. |
Advocacy Victory: Council of Europe Rejects Surrogacy Report

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has rejected a report that aimed to support and promote the regulation of “altruistic” surrogacy among European countries. WYA was actively working with the members of the Council and other experts to prevent approval of this practice in Europe. |

It presents a summary of philosophical, historical, and modern day texts that focus on the dignity of the person and human rights.
