WYA Founder discusses women’s health at Columbia

October 30, 2019, Columbia University, NY – WYA Founder Anna Halpine was invited by the Columbia University Anscombe Society to give a talk entitled ‘Women’s Health: Politics or Healthcare?’ Students from Columbia University as well as WYA staff and interns were present at the event.

In her talk, Anna shared about her work as the CEO of the Fertility Education and Medical Management (FEMM) Foundation. She detailed the ways language greatly influences international and local policy and how FEMM was developed to address the gap for solutions that are truly responsive to the identified needs in a woman’s overall health.

FEMM uses a science and evidence-based approach which promotes the central role of reproductive endocrinology in the management of women’s health. It works with women by providing trainings, medical management, research, and support through the free FEMM Health App.

WYA would like to thank the Anscombe Society of Columbia University for making this event possible. The Anscombe Society at Columbia University aims to constructively present the traditional path to human flourishing as an alternative to the popular way in which relationships are experienced in campus.
