November 22-23, 2019, BRUSSELS – World Youth Alliance Europe hosted its annual European Arts Forum (EAF) Project in Brussels. It gathered participants from Belgium, Romania and the Netherlands.
This years’ EAF focused on the topic “Capturing Truth in Art”. It aimed to make the participants discover the purpose of art by sharing different perspectives and artistic methods. Participants had the chance to engage in panel discussions while sharing their vision of art.
During the Project, the participants had the chance to visit the House of European History, the European Parliament and the exhibition “Behind the Berlin Wall – State Security in the GDR Dictatorship”. On Saturday, a creative workshop entitled “Art in practice” was conducted by Anita Ruso, PhD at the Plateau96 with the aim for the participants to learn how to turn their artistic ideas into concrete projects and get funding for them from European institutions.
To conclude the whole event, the certification and closing ceremony was held at a birthday cocktail party in the Lodzkie House. We celebrated the 18th anniversary of World Youth Alliance Europe and the 20th anniversary of founding of World Youth Alliance – at the Cairo+5 conference at the United Nations in New York.
