July 25, 2020 – Last Saturday, the WYA Headquarters gathered interns from all their regional offices for a virtual get together. The event was well attended by interns from Albania, Bahrain, Colombia, El Salvador, India, Kenya, Mexico, Paraguay, Nicaragua, the Philippines, Spain and the United States of America.
After introductions and icebreaker activities, the interns heard from a fellow intern who shared about her passion for photography and film making. Intern alumni and current Paraguay Chapter Co-Head Santiago Ruiz also shared about his experience as a young WYA HQ intern who accomplished his membership drive project in under a week.
“I liked how the event allowed us to meet the other interns in a fun and relaxed way,” shared Sofia Angulo, an intern from Colombia.
Following the pandemic, WYA opened more slots for its online internship around the world. The WYA internship is an opportunity for members to gain training and hands-on experiences for building a culture of life in a professional setting. WYA interns are given the chance to manage projects on marketing, advocacy, and events related to our major programs like the Human Dignity Curriculum, Certified Training Program, and Fertility Education and Medical Management.
