in this issue

We believe that the human person is the earth’s greatest resource. That’s why we continue to develop programs that help young people grow into responsible leaders. Apart from the usual Track A Training sessions we continue to hold both online and at the regional offices, we also held an advocacy training session in Croatia. In the next few months, the regional offices will be hosting their respective Emerging Leaders Conference (ELC). We encourage you to apply to the ELC to be able to learn about the global issues in your communities and to network with other young leaders.

Aside from their education, we also believe that investing in their health is important. We continue to support our sister organization FEMM in its efforts to promote holistic healthcare to women.

We have so much more in store for the coming months and hope you can continue to support our investment in future young leaders either by joining and promoting our events or by donating to the 15 Campaign.

Emerging Leaders Conferences Around the World

WYA develops youth leaders through the regional Emerging Leaders Conference (ELC), tackling global issues from a regional perspective. This year the overarching theme for each ELC is  “Health and Education: Keys to Development”. The European office has successfully concluded their ELC last June. It gathered 40 participants from Croatia, Belgium, Poland, Ireland, Slovenia, Austria, Spain, Malta, UK, Hungary. The event allowed WYA Europe to recruit new committed members who are our  potential leaders for chapters in Ireland, Slovenia, and Malta. In addition to that, WYA Europe managed to provide our members a detailed presentation and training of new programs of FEMM and HDC. Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America and North America are currently accepting applicants for their respective ELCs. So what are you waiting for?
