October 4, 2017 – WYA members from the Philippines and the United States have been chosen to participate in the 2017 Global Youth Trends Forum-Youth Initiatives for Sustainable Development from October 24-31, 2017 in Taiwan. WYA members were selected through a nomination process based on their active involvement in their regional offices.
The event, organized by the Youth Development Administration of Taiwan, will bring about 200 delegates from 15 countries from Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
The weeklong program will include cultural exchange, workshops, and plenary lectures. The delegation from the Philippines will be presenting on the topic of Developing civic competence that promotes justice and active participation while the United States delegation will present based on the topic of Good habits to help the earth (Green consumption).
