WYA Middle East attends 2017 World Day of Social Justice celebrations in Beirut

The World Youth Alliance Middle East participated in the “Observance of the World Day of Social Justice” organized by ESCWA on February 20 in Beirut. The Ceremony was opened by Mr Frederico Neto, the Director of the Social Development Devision of ESCWA.

This was followed by a statement by  H.E. Mr Nicolas Tueini, State Minister for Combating Corruption. The ceremony had several artistic phases: a musical performance by Ms Nehmme, a theatrical performance by Ms Sabra, and a poem reading by Mr Bazih. The ceremony concluded with the opening of a painting exhibition.

The ceremony was attended by civil society activists and United Nations agencies in order to celebrate the World Day of Justice. This event highlights the importance of communicating Justice through a universal tool: Art. Art is considered a universal language surpassing borders and connecting our global family. It addresses the soul of beings.
